Heritage Turkey Workshop and Judging Event

The Island Heritage Livestock Association located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia is proud to announce for the first time ever a Heritage Turkey Workshop and Judging Event in Canada.

Heritage Turkeys: With the goal of preserving and maintaining the historical genetic bloodlines heritage turkeys are slowly but steadily making a comeback in Canada through the dedication of small farm breeders and Rare Breeds Canada. In the United States the American Livestock Breeds Conservatory has played a leading role in the promotion and preservation of Heritage turkeys with the guidance of world reknowned Heritage turkey expert Frank Reese.

The Island Heritage Livestock group is honoured that Mr. Frank Reese, through their sponsorship,  will be on Vancouver Island on Saturday September 29th, 2012 at the Arrowsmith Agricultural Grounds in Coombs, British Columbia to run the workshop and share first hand his knowledge and expertise to owners of heritage turkeys and anyone who has an interest in working with them in the future.
